This was a character design I came up with earlier today, I figured I would do a quick CG. Both of these characters look much better in pencil sketch, so I probably should have tried to work with those instead of drawing to the comp. However, my biggest mistake here was using photoshop to do the outline inking. I've never been able to achieve this effectly, and today is no exception - the outlines look primative and amateurish. Bleh. Anyway, I still like how the characters look, even though I also managed to leave off lots of details. Oh, and you might notice similarities to an older piece I drew - check out the related pictures :) |
